Final signing off

As a group we all really enjoyed making our product and we are proud with our final result. We have all learned many new skills with teamwork, editing software, camera skills and a much better and detailed understanding on how to produce films and the importance of an opening title sequence in a film. We all worked really well as a group and clicked with ideas and producing our sequence. Going to watch all the AS coursework at the Screen on the green was a really great opportunity as well and again made us feel proud of our work and all that we have accomplished over the past term.

Editing

Editing wasn't as successful as we thought it should have been, we had many good shots that just didn't fit into our title sequence so that disappointed us. However we believe that there were also some good bits from our editing such as the scene of Marlo talking to the camera and also the the music we put in really set the tone of the whole thing. One thing I found difficult was how to colour grade, we found this very hard and didn't really implement it into our title sequence until we received help from teachers.

Evaluation of others

The class activity was to go around the class with our groups and evaluate each title sequence, this was very helpful as I believe it gave us more ideas for our title sequence and how to make it better for viewers. We believe that every group has a different strong point in their title sequence and we hope we could add that to our title sequence.

New skills and effects

Our group learnt various new skills and effects to use to push our grade up for the title sequence. These new skills and effects include how to colour grade, put titles in our titile sequence, fonts, and how to put music and sound in.

Dans feedback on rough cut

Dan watched a very rough version of our final title sequence, and has gave us some constructive criticism.

  • There were a couple shots that contained zooms, We were told to delete them.
  • There were other pointless bits and pieces, We were told to try make them better with editing
we were told to try to make them better by making them last longer in slow motion or just cut them completely, after attempting to fit these shots in, we came to a conclusion that our overall title sequence will be better without these shots.

Marlos idea

Marlo had an idea on how to make our title sequence better and have an edge on the other title sequences in the class. His idea was to simultaneously put two shots together, one of his own camera filming himself and one of our camera filming him, while he is talking to his own camera

hassan makke feedback to Blogging health check 2

I am disappointed as my grade hasn't improved, I believe I am at a real disadvantage as I have the smallest group in the class. But I also believe that isn't an excuse and that I should be doing more than what I am currently doing. I need to add more to my blogs, the amount of blogs I have will not matter if they are not high quality.
